Deutsches Museum Bonn
The Deutsches Museum Bonn opened on 4 November 1995, and is devoted to research and technology in Germany since 1945. The exhibition on the research system in Germany is divided into five distinct areas: Elementary, Breaking the Ice, Between Heaven and Hell, Across the Border, and Tradition & Vision. Discoveries by Nobel prizewinners, technical achievements from the wall plug to the airbag, developments in medical techno- logy, including the most recent methods of brain research, new discoveries in space and here on earth: all marked a new epoch in research and technological innovation. The catalogue contains essays, interviews, illustrations and information on all the exhibits. Many of them are described by the inventors and discoverers themselves.
